Basic checks

Monsieur Cuisine no longer mixes, what to do?

It may be that the Monsieur Cuisine robot does not mix simply because of a lacking in the use you make of it. Certain checks can then make it possible to find a device in good working order:

• Check that you do not have overdosing or underdosing on food present in the bowl as this may disturb the knife blades.

• Check that the chopping knife blades are not blocked due to ingredients that are too compact, sticky and / or hard. If the dough / preparation remains attached to the knife, stir it because this can slow down or even stop the motor and, as a result, Monsieur Cuisine will no longer be able to turn.

• If the Monsieur Cuisine's knife blades do not turn while hot food is present inside it can be quite normal. Sometimes you have to wait for the temperature inside the bowl goes down again to use the chopping knife.

• Be careful to check that the speed used is suitable to the food and how much is in the bowl. For example, the Turbo function can only be used with cold ingredients. Also pay attention that it is suitable for the function.

• If exceptionally the Monsieur Cuisine robot runs slowly or refuses to accelerate, this may be completely normal. In fact, the device is programmed to automatically regulate if the engine or blades are in trouble. Nevertheless, this must remain exceptional. If the device still does not regain full power the next time it is used, the problem most likely stems from a component failure.

Check the condition of Monsieur Cuisine's chopping knife

Si Monsieur Cuisine no longer mixes correctly, it is also possible that the chopping knife is defective.

First, check that the blades are not dull or damaged. Indeed, the blades are subject to wear. Over time, they will cut and mix less well. In this case, they will have to be replaced so that your food processor is operational again.

Also check that the axis of the knives runs well. To do this: Insert and secure the knife in Monsieur Cuisine's bowl and using your hand, rotate the blades of the knife. If there is resistance preventing the knives from turning properly or a strange noise appears, the axle is probably defective.. In this case, you will need to replace the knife.

You can find the chopping knife in spare parts online or by contacting Lidl Service on 0800 900 343 (or 0800 00 54 25 for Silvercrest Service).

Broken knife trainer

When your Monsieur Cuisine robot does not turn at all or does not mix correctly (low or choppy speed), most of the time the fault comes from the training piece. This part is relatively fragile, especially on the models of the first generation of Monsieur Cuisine. If the appliance was forced, the recipe was too sticky or compact, you did not follow the basic rules of dosage and mixing; Unfortunately, the part may not have supported and has become damaged. Also note that if you hear the sound of the motor but the knife does not turn, in the vast majority of cases, the problem lies with the trainer.

Note: This piece is considered a consumable part. That is to say which undergoes natural wear and which is therefore "normal" to see break down after a certain time. In some Monsieur Cuisine models (for example Monsieur Cuisine Connect 2021) the part is in the original packaging of the robot. Otherwise, you can easily order it online.

To be sure that the fault is indeed from the drive part, check it visually. This piece looks like a flower. It is located where you put the bowl. Then check if it is cracked or broken. If nothing is visible at first glance, remove it to also check the condition of the underside of the part. To remove it, you just have to pull it, so as to unclip it, using your fingers or pliers. If it is damaged, it will need to be replace. If you cannot find it on an online site, you will need to ask Lidl after-sales service. If you don't feel like replacing the part, also call their after-sales service.

What to do if despite everything your Monsieur Cuisine robot no longer mixes?

If Monsieur Cuisine's knife still won't turn and the above parts are not responsible for the failure, then unfortunately the malfunction is from an internal component that you cannot access. You will most certainly need to contact a professional repairer.

Engine or electronic board faulty

If you cannot hear the sound of the motor, or it makes an abnormal noise, or there is a smell, Monsieur Cuisine no longer runs, most likely due to an engine failure. In this case, the Monsieur Cuisine knife will not turn at all or very difficult. An engine failure can be caused by engine in itself that would have grilled or electronic card. Indeed, the electronic card makes it possible to give the execution instructions to the engine. If an elementary component on this card is defective, the information no longer passes and the engine no longer turns.

At this stage, you will unfortunately have to call on the Lidl after-sales service because the diagnosis and replacement of one of its parts requires very advanced skills in electronics.

Indeed, as an indication, it will be necessary to remove the base of the Monsieur Cuisine robot to access the motor and the electronic card. For information, this manipulation loses the warranty rights. It will then be necessary to test each of the motor windings using an ohmmeter or a multimeter in the ohmmeter position set to the smallest position. If the measurements are good, then the problem is certainly with the electronic card. This piece is not online. It will therefore be necessary to disconnect and remove the card from its support. Then find the faulty component on the electronic board by testing them one by one, and finally replace it. Once again, these manipulations are not within everyone's reach. It is imperative to have electrical or electronic skills. Caution, risk of electric shock and damage to the device.

    • Hello,
Attempt the electrical reset. If that doesn't work, unfortunately the robot's motherboard is probably faulty. How long have you had your robot?
