The Dyson Airwrap is an innovative styling tool, designed to revolutionize hair brushing. However, sometimes it can stop working in full use, for no apparent reason, and quickly cause frustration. In this case, it is important to know what to do in case of a cut to avoid further damage and extend the life of the device.

Why is your Dyson Airwrap cutting itself?
First of all, when your Dyson Airwrap shuts off automatically, do not try at all costs to turn it back on to prevent further damage and prolong the life of the device. Check that the Dyson Airwrap has not overheated
First, check that you haven't overworked your Dyson Airwrap. Avoid using the device for more than 20 minutes without interruption., especially if you are using the highest temperature, as this can cause overheat the engine of the device running at full power.
It is recommended to use the device for 15 minutes, then to wait 2 minutes, the time for the motor and the components to come down to temperature, before using it again.
If you think the fault may be caused by overuse of the device, wait about ten minutes before attempting to turn your Airwrap back on. If the device turns on again and the power cut does not reoccur, the problem was most likely temporary. On the other hand, if it shuts off again or won't turn back on after waiting the specified time, proceed to the next troubleshooting steps.
Clean the Dyson Airwrap filter
The main reason why a Dyson Airwrap stops on its own is because its filter is too clogged. Indeed, when it no longer fulfills its role as a barrier, a sensor detects it, and automatically switches off the device to avoid overheating which could damage internal components or a drop in performance of the device which could interfere with your use.

It is recommended by Dyson to carry out a filter cleaning once a week to ensure proper operation of the Airwrap. This delay can be extended if you only use it occasionally. However, we advise you to do this at least once a month, because even when you are not using the device, dust can accumulate on the filter.
Check the connectors of the hairdressing tool
When your Dyson Airwrap stopped working or shut off in the middle of use without turning back on, the problem may also be with the electrical connection.
The following points should then be checked:
- Check if the electrical outlet works.
- If you use strip ou extends, remove them and plug the styling tool directly into a working outlet.
