My Cookeo does not connect, what to do?

A wide range of multicookers has been developed by Moulinex. Among the most intelligent, there is undoubtedly the Cookeo Connect and the Cookeo Touch WiFi. Both connected, they provide more extensive functionality than their other versions. However, the choice of connectivity can sometimes be unnecessary when the mode decides not to or no longer work. So, to find the full use of your device, find out in this article what to do when your Cookeo does not connect?

What to do when your Cookeo does not connect?

Check the settings on your pressure cooker

Only the cookeo touch wifi can connect to wifi network and Cookeo Connect can connect to the MonCookeo application via Bluetooth. Make sure you have one of its two models before proceeding to the following checks and operations.

If so, start with some basic checks sometimes allowing you to easily connect your Cookeo:

If you are using a Cookeo Touch WiFi

As a reminder, to connect your Cookeo Touch Wifi to the Wifi network : - Go to Settings (on the right of your home screen) - Click on WiFi settings
- Choose Activate WiFi
- Select your WiFi network and enter your mot de passe 

• When your Cookeo does not connect to the wifi network, start by checking that your wifi works correctly.

• If your Cookeo Connect does not receive the Wifi network, you just need to connect it for the first time near your wifi box. Wait while it is installed, your account is created and updated. You can then use 310 recipes saved in your device and available offline. However, it is advisable to move your internet access point closer or add a receiver to fully use the features of the Cookeo and so that it can also perform updates.

• Your wifi key must be 14 characters maximum so that your Cookeo Touch is recognized and can connect. It should not contain any special characters, only upper and lower case letters.

• Configure your box so that it delivers wifi on the 2,4GHz frequency band (the Cookeo cannot connect to a 5GHz WiFi). Check that your wifi is connected to a product that delivers a WEP, WPA and WPA2 type wifi. If one doesn't work, you can test the different wifi settings.

If you use the Cookeo Connect via the connected application MonCookeo

As a reminder, to connect your Cookeo Connect to your smartphone or tablet : - Download the Mon Cookeo application - Turn on the bluetooth of your mobile device - Go to your Cookeo settings (which is located next to the start icon) - Click on Connect to start synchronization. - The blue LED flashes for the duration of the connection, then remains steady once the procedure has been completed. 

• Start by checking that your tablet or smartphone is compatible with your pressure cooker. Also check that it has the latest update of the system and of the MonCookeo application.

• Make sure Bluetooth is turned on on your mobile device.

• If the blue Connect LED is off, the Connect function is disabled. Activate it by going to Settings -> Connect menu -> Select On.

• Move your smartphone or tablet closer to the pressure cooker when trying to connect.

Electrically restart Cookeo

When your Cookeo no longer connects, it may be that a software bug either involved. In this case, a electrical restart sometimes allows you to delete the malfunctions and errors stored in the device's memory, and thus to restart it. To do this, all you have to do is unplug your Cookeo from its power source, wait 2 minutes, then plug it back in. If the procedure did not work, then try resetting the Moulinex pressure cooker.

Reset your Cookeo

Warning: Do not reset your Cookeo if it is still under warranty because that takes away your rights. If your multicooker is still under warranty, contact Moulinex consumer service. 

La resetting your Cookeo corrects the biggest bugs and malfunctions that the device is encountering that may prevent it from being connected. For reset your Cookeo that is not connecting, here is the procedure to follow depending on your model:

Reinitialize the Cookeo Connect

To reset the Bluetooth pairing of your Cookeo Connect device:

  1. Unplug the pressure cooker from its power source
  2. Press the Back button (red arrow) on your device while reconnecting it
  3. When the device starts up and while continuing to press the Back button, immediately press the OK button 5 times
  4. A white screen with 4 digits “0000” appears. Using the dial, change the code to " 8127". Press OK to validate each digit.
  5. Once the code has been validated, disconnect the power supply to your Cookeo again
  6. Reconnect it then wait for the device to turn on again

Then try to connect your Cookeo to the mobile device (tablet or smartphone). If the procedure did not work, then the after-sales service will have to be called.

Reset the Cookeo Touch WiFi

To reset the Cookeo Touch Wifi connection, here is the procedure to follow:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Click on My device
  3. Then select " Reset device »And validate.

If all the previous checks and operations did not resolve the problem, the problem will then require the intervention of Moulinex after-sales service to perform an accurate diagnosis of the fault and to repair or replace the device.

You can use the Moulinex customer service to obtain a personalized solution to your problem using their contact form or on 09 74 50 10 14. You can also contact a Moulinex approved repair center, especially if your Cookeo is still under warranty because you will get repair or replacement of the device free of charge.

  1. I have bought a new cookeo connect. It has no English option to select language. I bought my other cookeo 6 months ago and this one selected English as soon as I turned it on. The only difference on the box is the new one has a QR code. The latest cookeo was bought for a gift for my daughter for Christmas and we spent ages trying to set it up in English without success. She now has my 6 month old unit and I'm left with one I cannot u derstand. Both were bought in Spain where I live. HELP!

      In principle, all Cookeos have the English language saved in their settings. If you haven't found it, there is an error in your Cookeo software. This can be resolved by calling Moulinex customer service. Rest assured, your Cookeo is under warranty, if it does not find a solution for you, they will proceed to an exchange.

      – Download the My Cookeo application
      – Turn on the bluetooth of your mobile device
      – Go to the settings of your Cookeo (which is next to the start icon)
      – Click on Connect to start synchronization.
      – The blue LED flashes for the duration of the connection, then remains fixed once the procedure has worked.

      To connect your Cookeo Touch Wifi to the Wifi network:
      – Go to Settings (to the right of your home screen)
      – Click WiFi Settings
      – Choose Enable WiFi
      – Select your WiFi network and enter your password

      If that doesn't work, go to the Moulinex website, then to the product sheet corresponding to your model of Cookeo Connect. Then go to the FAQ section. You will find different answers that deal with the topic. If nothing allows you to connect your Cookeo Connect, then you will need to contact Moulinex after-sales service on 09 74 50 10 14.
