Some repairs can be done on your own. Others will require the intervention of a professional. Discover first, the checks and manipulations accessible to all to try to repair a Rowenta vacuum cleaner that no longer sucks. Then, find out what to do if unfortunately the problem persists.

What to do when your Rowenta vacuum cleaner no longer sucks?

At first, a few basic checks and manipulations can allow your vacuum cleaner to restore normal suction power. Check them out below.

Rowenta vacuum cleaner does not vacuum what to do?
Important : - When you need to disassemble or clean any part of the vacuum cleaner, switch off the appliance and unplug it from its power source. - if your vacuum cleaner is under warranty and the routine maintenance operations presented in this first part of the article do not work, contact the after-sales service of the retailer or Rowenta.

Check the tank of the Rowenta vacuum cleaner

To begin with, when your Rowenta stick vacuum cleaner does not suck normally, check that the tank is correctly positioned/clipped. Then check that it don't be too full. If you use a bagged vacuum cleaner, also check that it is correctly put back on or that it is not overfilled. Indeed, when 3/4 of the tank is filled with dirt, the Rowenta vacuum cleaner will suck less well. This is why it is advisable to empty it regularly. Best to do it after each use.

Check that nothing is obstructing the air circuit

When your Rowenta vacuum cleaner sucks less well, or not at all, it may also be that a dirt clog obstructs air circulation. These are often hair, animal hair, debris or small objects. In this case, you will notice a marked decrease in suction power.

Then check by dismantling the different parts of the vacuum cleaner that nothing is blocked inside. Check the brush, the tube or hose, and the cells. If so, remove the dirt by hand. To dislodge a blockage in the hose or tube, insert a broomstick into it. If you notice that the vacuum cleaner is dirty, clean it according to the instructions corresponding to your model of Rowenta vacuum cleaner. If you don't have it available, find it on their website under " Manuals"

Check the condition of the Rowenta vacuum cleaner filters

When your Rowenta vacuum cleaner no longer sucks properly or at all, it may also be that the filters are too dirty or defective. In this case, you will need to clean the filter(s) carefully following the cleaning instructions specific to your model of vacuum cleaner. Once again, the location of the filter(s), as well as the cleaning instructions may be different depending on the model of your Rowenta vacuum cleaner. Find them in the paper user guide supplied when you purchased the device or in the " Manuals from their website.

If you find that a filter seems too damaged (hole, crack, encrusted dirt or dust, etc.), it will then have to be replaced. You can then find it on their website under “ Accessories and Parts or on an independent website. Check the compatibility of the filter with your Rowenta vacuum cleaner model.

Note: Be careful never to vacuum construction debris or flour. Fine dust cannot be retained by the filters. It will then rush into all the components of the vacuum cleaner and cause it to break down.

Check for air leaks

Finally, there may also be an air leak in one of the components of the Rowenta vacuum cleaner following a sealing problem, which would then lead to a loss of suction power.

This sealing problem can come from a hole in the tube or in the hose, from an incorrectly positioned element (tube, tank, bag, brush, etc.), or from a seal that is no longer airtight or that is Misplaced. Then start by checking if all the elements are well positioned and well clipped. Then start the device, then with your hand, check if you notice an air leak at the level of the tank, the tube or the hose and the seals of the Rowenta vacuum cleaner.

If you notice an air leak, you will need to seal it or replace the defective element.

Rowenta vacuum cleaner no longer sucks what to do?

If your Rowenta vacuum cleaner sucks badly, sucks badly or jerkily, that it makes a strange noise or no noise, or that he gives off a bad smell, it may be that a internal component is faulty and that it then no longer fulfills its functions allowing good suction power. Defective components are very often engine and turbine. This hypothesis is all the more likely if the engine noise seems weaker than usual, muffled, jammed, or jerky.

Without electrical skills, you risk creating a short circuit or damaging other components of the device. In addition, spare parts are very difficult to find for individuals. • Hello,
First of all, did the problem appear over time, or as soon as you bought it? It may be a manufacturing defect if the problem appeared during the first uses. In this case, contact Rowenta after-sales service or the dealer store.
Next, check that nothing is obstructing the socket at the level of the brush. To do this, you need to remove the roller. Also check that no blockage has formed in the pipe.
Also remember to change the brush roll regularly. The more it is damaged, the more dirt it will retain.
You can also increase the suction power.
Finally, if you vacuum a lot of hair or animal hair, note that it is "normal" for it to wrap around the roller and form a sort of clog which then leads to an accumulation of dirt around the brush. . In this case, we can only recommend that you remove the dirt from the roller regularly and between each room of your home.

We advise you to contact Rowenta customer service because, depending on what you are describing, it is most certainly an engine problem which therefore requires further repair. (We are an independent advice blog, so we have no contact with Rowenta after-sales service.)
