Reset a Freebox Server

Whether you own a Freebox Mini 4K, Revolution, Pop ou Delta, the procedure for reinitializing the Freebox Server is identical. Know first that for reset a Freebox Server, it exists three starting levels :

  • normal start. This startup corresponds to a normal restart without deleting your data and settings.
  • emergency start. This start corresponds to a "safe" restart of the box. It optimizes the start of the Server by disabling certain functions of the box which will be reactivated once the box is functional.
  • Factory settings. This start corresponds to the "Reset" function of the Freebox. This boot option resets the factory settings and therefore deletes all your custom settings.

First perform a hard start of the box to avoid losing your data. If your Freebox no longer turns on at all or the bugs are not resolved, it will probably be necessary to start in “Factory Settings” mode.

To access the start-up mode and therefore to reset the Freebox, do the following:

  1. Unplug your Free box from the electrical outlet.
  2. Wait 60 seconds then reconnect the power cord to the electrical outlet.
